The Moorish Idol is a small tropical fish about 8 inches long, recognizable by the broad stripes, black and white, stained with yellow that dress his flanks, but also the long filament that follows the extension of his dorsal fin. The Moorish Idol lives in the tropical Indo-Pacific zone from the Red Sea to Mexico. It should be known that in Polynesia the Moorish Idol is sacred, and therefore automatically released when it is caught inadvertently.
